THE NORTH FACE Unban Exploration 2022 SS

THE NORTH FACE URBAN EXPLORATIONの「UNDYED COLLECTION」は、染色をせずに自然の色をそのまま利用したコレクションです。私たちはこのコレクションのビジュアルメイキングおよびウェブデザインを担当しました。URBAN EXPLORATIONの3期目の担当として、今回のコレクションでは縫い目や資材数も最小限に抑え、環境負荷に配慮された素材を使用しました。また、染色をしないため「白」の持つ純粋さやプリミティブさを表現しました。私たちは「見えないことを見えることに変えること」をコンセプトに掲げ、境目から見えてくる白さを表現するために取り組みました。

Created the visual and web design for the “UNDYED COLLECTION,” which utilizes THE NORTH FACE URBAN EXPLORATION’s undyed technique. This was my third project with URBAN EXPLORATION, and this season’s collection minimizes stitching and materials to reduce the environmental impact of the production process. The undyed products embody the purity, simplicity, and primitiveness of the color white. By transforming the invisible into the visible, we were able to create the concept of bringing forth the whiteness that emerges from the borderlines. I was honored to be a part of the concept-making process.
